What is peppa.io?
Peppa.io is a payment platform that ensures that buying and selling on platforms like Jiji,Instagram, Facebook, twitter is safe for everyone. Users can buy safely from any online vendor when they pay through the peppa app which is available on the Google Play store or Apple store
How does peppa.io work?
After agreeing price and delivery fees with any online vendor, you need to pay with the peppa app to enjoy the payment protection. To pay with peppa, follow these easy steps:
- Download the app from either Google play store or Apple store
- Create an account
- Click on “make a payment”
Enter the details(phone number and bank details) of the vendor and complete the transaction The vendor will be notified of your payment, and he or she will get the money deposited into their account after you get your product.
How much does peppa charge?
Peppa charges you 1.5% of the total amount you are paying to the vendor as a transaction fee.
Can I reuse the vendor's bank account details I use in paying a merchant on the peppa app?
No. The account details can only be used once and are specific to that transaction only. You will get another set of account details when you want to make another transaction.
Can I use peppa to buy any kind of product online?
Today, the peppa app supports only physical products.
Is there any method of identifying a verified vendor with the peppa app?
Yes. Check the hub section of the app.
What’s the expected time of arrival for products when ordered?
The peppa app currently serves as a medium of payment only. The expected time of arrival and the preferred delivery option(s) would be agreed by both the seller and buyer before payment through the peppa app

Does peppa pay immediately when a buyer makes an order?
Our merchants/vendors receive payment after the buyer has confirmed he/she has gotten his/her order.
Do vendors need to sign up on peppa to receive their payment?
No, vendors don’t need to sign up to use the platform. Vendors can refer their buyers to pay using peppa to add more credibility and trust to their business operations
How does conversation between buyers and sellers work? Is there a system on peppa that allows chats between both parties?
The peppa app is solely a payment gateway between buyers and sellers. Communication between both parties and agreement happens outside the peppa app while the payment happens through the app. However, in subsequent updates, buyers will be able to find and buy from verified sellers on the app.
Can vendors receive payment in different currencies?
The peppa app currently supports only payments made in Naira. We plan to support more currencies very shortly.
Does the peppa app support vendors creating a pre-order program?
This feature is not currently available
How many times can the account that’s generated when a buyer wants to pay be used?
The account can only be used once and is specific to that transaction only
